DICA LiftGuard® Magnetic Sling Protectors are engineered to protect your lifting slings from abrasion and cuts when working around sharp corners or rough surfaces. Manufactured by DICA USA, these durable protectors increase the lifespan of your slings and enhance workplace safety — a must-have for any lifting operation.

OSHA & ASME Compliance

LiftGuard® Sling Protectors help ensure compliance with federal and industry standards:

• OSHA 1926.251(c)(9): "Slings shall be padded or protected from the sharp edges of their loads."
• ASME B30.9: "Slings in contact with edges, corners, or protrusions should be protected with a material of sufficient strength, thickness, and construction to prevent damage to the sling."

⚠️ Important: Medium Duty = Synthetic Slings Only

Never use wire rope slings with Medium Duty LiftGuard units. For wire rope or chain sling protection, use the Heavy Duty LiftGuard (270 lbs pull force, 3 magnets).

Capacity

• Compression capacity: 12,500 psi/in of sling contact
• Capacity is calculated by multiplying 12,500 x the contact area of the sling
• Contingent upon vertical and horizontal edges of the sling protectors being in 100% contact with the load

Inspection & Safety

Before every use: visual check for cracks, corrosion, distortion, wear, and illegible markings. Annually (minimum): documented periodic inspection by a trained inspector. Remove from service at first sign of damage. Never repair rigging hardware by welding, heating, or bending.

WARNING: Improper use of rigging can cause death or serious injury. Never exceed the rated Working Load Limit. Apply derating for side-loading, elevated temperature, or chemical exposure. Final application decisions must be made by a Qualified Person per OSHA 1926.32(m).
