DICA LiftGuard® Heavy Duty Magnetic Sling Protectors are engineered with enhanced durability to withstand high-pressure loading from more abrasive wire rope and chain slings. Manufactured by DICA USA, these heavy-duty protectors provide superior edge protection for your most demanding lifting operations.

OSHA & ASME Compliance

LiftGuard® Sling Protectors help ensure compliance with federal and industry standards:

• OSHA 1926.251(c)(9): "Slings shall be padded or protected from the sharp edges of their loads."
• ASME B30.9: "Slings in contact with edges, corners, or protrusions should be protected with a material of sufficient strength, thickness, and construction to prevent damage to the sling."

Sling Compatibility Guide

Use this table to select the right protector size for your sling. Heavy Duty protectors work with all sling types — synthetic web slings, round slings, wire rope slings, and chain slings.

Tip: When in doubt, size up. The protector should be at least as wide as your sling to provide full edge coverage. For twin-path or multi-leg configurations, measure the total bearing width at the contact point.

Capacity

• Compression capacity: 12,500 psi/in of sling contact
• Capacity is calculated by multiplying 12,500 x the contact area of the sling
• Contingent upon vertical and horizontal edges of the sling protectors being in 100% contact with the load

Inspection & Safety

Before every use: visual check for cracks, corrosion, distortion, wear, and illegible markings. Annually (minimum): documented periodic inspection by a trained inspector. Remove from service at first sign of damage. Never repair rigging hardware by welding, heating, or bending.

WARNING: Improper use of rigging can cause death or serious injury. Never exceed the rated Working Load Limit. Apply derating for side-loading, elevated temperature, or chemical exposure. Final application decisions must be made by a Qualified Person per OSHA 1926.32(m).
