Specifications — Full Dimensions by Size
This part already clears a 5:1 requirement. At 6:1 it is more conservative than the 5:1 commonly specified for wire rope and synthetic sling systems, so the published WLL above satisfies a 5:1 specification as it stands. We do not publish a higher WLL at 5:1, because that capacity is not certified by the manufacturer.

Dimensions and ratings sourced directly from manufacturer catalog pages. SlingCenter does not derive or restate ratings. Pound figures are converted by SlingCenter from the manufacturer’s metric rating at 1 t = 2,204.62 lb and rounded down — a unit conversion only, not a change of rating. The metric figure is the rating of record. Lowercase t is the metric tonne (1,000 kg / 2,204.62 lb), the manufacturer’s own notation — not the US short ton.
New Release — Not Yet In Stock
Green Pin® announced the Bow Shackle SCP on 22 September 2026. It is not yet in stock at SlingCenter. Van Beest has not yet released pricing or availability for this item, so we are not publishing a price, a lead time, or a ship date. Join the wait list and we will email you as soon as we can supply it.
The Green Pin® Bow Shackle SCP — Van Beest's “Slim Shackle” — is a standard bow shackle fitted with a slimmer screw bolt secured by a cotter pin. The screw bolt threads directly into the shackle body, so it gives the double safety of a bolt-type shackle with only three components, and the quick handling of a screw pin shackle.
The screw bolt sits flush within the width of the shackle body, giving a clean, snag-free profile that is easier to handle in confined or hard-to-access positions.
Key Features
- Double safety — screw bolt plus cotter pin
- Suitable for both inline and side loading
- Easier handling due to smaller size and fewer components
- Screw bolt for quick (dis)assembly
- Galvanization assures long-term durability

Before every use: visual check for cracks, corrosion, distortion, wear, and illegible markings. Annually (minimum): documented periodic inspection by a trained inspector. Remove from service at first sign of damage. Never repair rigging hardware by welding, heating, or bending.
WARNING: Improper use of rigging can cause death or serious injury. Never exceed the rated Working Load Limit. Apply derating for side-loading, elevated temperature, or chemical exposure. Final application decisions must be made by a Qualified Person per OSHA 1926.32(m).
