Product Specifications
Every product includes Working Load Limit (WLL), manufacturer traceability code, and country of origin. For per-variant dimensions and detailed spec charts, see the Order Sheet tab (if this product has multiple sizes) or the Spec Sheet PDF linked above.
Available on request
- Test certificate — proof-test certificate tied to manufacturer traceability code (rigging hardware, chain, wire rope; slings ship with a capacity tag).
- Mill certificate — raw material chemistry and mechanical properties (hardware / chain / wire rope only).
- DNV / ABS / NORSOK documentation for offshore or subsea applications.
- Custom configurations — non-standard lengths, colors, hardware combinations.

The Extreema EXC/3 Cut Resistant Sling is a high-performance synthetic roundsling featuring Dyneema fiber core, cover, and protective sleeves. Rated at 10,000 lbs vertical WLL, the EXC series delivers exceptional cut resistance that standard polyester roundslings cannot match — protecting the sling from sharp steel edges, burrs, and abrasive surfaces that would quickly damage conventional slings.
Key Features
- 10,000 lbs working load limit in vertical hitch (safety factor 5:1)
- Dyneema core, cover, and sleeves — cut resistance throughout the entire sling
- Up to 15x more cut resistant than standard polyester roundslings
- Significantly lighter than equivalent-capacity wire rope or chain slings
- Flexible construction conforms to load shapes and protects finished surfaces
- Color-coded capacity identification per WSTDA standards
Common Applications
- Steel plate, beam, and structural shape lifting with sharp edges
- Metal stamping and fabrication — handling parts with burrs and sheared edges
- Replacing wire rope slings where flexibility and surface protection matter
- Any lift where standard roundslings are being damaged by sharp load surfaces
Why Extreema Cut Resistant?
Standard polyester roundslings fail when they contact sharp edges — one cut through the cover exposes the load-bearing core and the sling must be removed from service. Extreema's Dyneema construction resists cutting at every layer, dramatically extending sling life and reducing replacement costs in demanding steel and metal handling environments.

Safety & Standards
Every product we carry is individually marked with Working Load Limit (WLL), manufacturer traceability code, and country of origin. Inspection and mill certificates are available on request — email sales@slingcenter.com with your order number.
Governing Standards
- ASME B30.9 — slings (web, round, wire rope, chain) inspection and use
- ASME B30.26 — rigging hardware (shackles, eye bolts, links, turnbuckles)
- ASME B30.10 — hooks
- OSHA 1910.184 and 1926.251 — general industry and construction sling safety
- WSTDA WS-2 and RS-1 — web and round sling design
- 49 CFR 393.102 to 393.130 — DOT cargo tie-down
- NACM — welded steel chain grade specs
Inspection & Safety
Before every use: visual check for cracks, corrosion, distortion, wear, and illegible markings. Annually (minimum): documented periodic inspection by a trained inspector. Remove from service at first sign of damage. Never repair rigging hardware by welding, heating, or bending.
WARNING: Improper use of rigging can cause death or serious injury. Never exceed the rated Working Load Limit. Apply derating for side-loading, elevated temperature, or chemical exposure. Final application decisions must be made by a Qualified Person per OSHA 1926.32(m).
