Overview

DICA ProStack® Cribbing Timbers are designed to support and elevate static loads, keeping materials and equipment off the ground. Made from a plastic composite of post-consumer and post-industrial recycled waste material (such as milk jugs and laundry detergent bottles) that won't warp, rot, splinter, break or delaminate. Designed to replace wood timbers with superior compression strength lasting decades — impervious to moisture and insects.

Manufactured by DICA, USA-made.

Features

  • Five nominal sizes: 4x4, 4x6, 6x6 and 6x8 in 8-ft and 12-ft lengths.
  • 500 psi maximum allowable pressure across all models.
  • Performs best between -40°F and 120°F air temperature.
  • Meets safe setup requirements (unlike traditional box cribbing).
  • Made from recycled plastic composite — will not absorb moisture or attract insects.

⚠️ Usage Guidelines

  • Fully support timbers in use — do not bridge.
  • Avoid applications that create bending moments.
  • Not intended to replace outrigger pads or crane mats by themselves.

Applications

Static load support and elevation indoors or outdoors: concrete pump trucks, aerial lifts, digger derricks, boom trucks, self-erecting tower cranes, mobile substations, rock crushers, scaffolding, service trucks, tow trucks, forestry trucks, well drilling trucks, knuckle boom cranes, and carrier-mounted tower cranes. Typical use: medium-sized equipment with reaction forces up to 100,000 lbs.

Inspection & Safety

Before every use: visual check for cracks, corrosion, distortion, wear, and illegible markings. Annually (minimum): documented periodic inspection by a trained inspector. Remove from service at first sign of damage. Never repair rigging hardware by welding, heating, or bending.

WARNING: Improper use of rigging can cause death or serious injury. Never exceed the rated Working Load Limit. Apply derating for side-loading, elevated temperature, or chemical exposure. Final application decisions must be made by a Qualified Person per OSHA 1926.32(m).
