AMH LA-Series — Lever Chain Hoist (Ratchet Lever Hoist)
The LA-Series is AMH's premium ratchet lever hoist (come-along), assembled and tested in the U.S.A. with premium USA-made precision load chain (strength of G80 chain). Dual rated with a wide choice of capacities from 3/4 to 10 US ton (0.8 to 9 metric ton). A horseshoe chain guard allows operation in any orientation.
- Capacity range: 3/4 – 10 US ton (0.8 – 9 t) — dual rated
- Load chain: Premium USA-made precision hoist load chain (strength of G80)
- Weston-style self-adjusting mechanical load brake — double pawls, asbestos-free discs, enclosed; long-life fused friction disk won't crack, shatter or absorb moisture
- Hook blocks are bolted for easy disassembly and complete hook inspection
- Horseshoe chain guard allows operation in any orientation
- Options: V = Overload Protection (one-way clutch); L = Self-Locking Hooks (top & bottom, avail. 1-1/8, 1-3/4 & 3-1/2 t); S = Shipyard hooks (avail. 1.6 & 3.2 t)
- Standards: ASME/ANSI B30.21, OSHA, NASA-STD-8719.9; ATEX rated II 3 GD c IIB 54°C X for limited use in hazardous environments
- Origin: Assembled and tested in the U.S.A.
Standard lifts: 5, 10, 15 and 20 ft (custom lifts available). Shipping weight ≈ hanging weight (W) + ~15%. Order by descriptive model number, e.g. LA032-20UV (Model-Lift-Options). *Minimum load is the load required to activate the automatic load brake (reacts like a seatbelt).

Inspection & Safety
Before every use: visual check for cracks, corrosion, distortion, wear, and illegible markings. Annually (minimum): documented periodic inspection by a trained inspector. Remove from service at first sign of damage. Never repair rigging hardware by welding, heating, or bending.
WARNING: Improper use of rigging can cause death or serious injury. Never exceed the rated Working Load Limit. Apply derating for side-loading, elevated temperature, or chemical exposure. Final application decisions must be made by a Qualified Person per OSHA 1926.32(m).
